Olha Yevzhenko from the city of Selydove has opened the door to new professional opportunities thanks to her determination and government support. She holds a degree in law and spent many years working in the National Police, conducting pre-trial investigations and studying human behavior psychology. After being forced to relocate to the Kyiv region, Olha decided to start a new chapter in her life — as an entrepreneur.
With a microgrant of 75,000 UAH under the Own Business program and her own savings, she purchased a modern polygraph, the “RUBICON,” which became the foundation of her new business — conducting psychophysiological examinations.
Olha enhanced her qualifications at the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management through the program “Conducting Examinations and Research Using a Polygraph” and received certification as a polygraph examiner from the National Academy of Internal Affairs.
“My goal is to help people establish the truth and protect their interests. Polygraph examinations are not just about control — they are about fairness and trust between people. I want my business to serve society,” says Olha.
Today, Olha already has her first clients and fulfills orders in various cities across Ukraine. She plans to expand her geography of operations and bring her services to the international level.
At the same time, she continues her professional development: with support from the Employment Service, she is pursuing a Master’s degree at Mariupol State University. Her new knowledge in psychology helps her better understand human behavior and improve her skills as a polygraph examiner.
“The grant was a great opportunity to start my own business. It was a huge help in purchasing the polygraph. I am already working and truly enjoying what I do. I’m also grateful to the Employment Service for the chance to obtain a second degree — psychology will be an important foundation of my professional work,” Olha shares.
If you dream of starting your own business, contact the Employment Service. Specialists will support you at every stage of participation in the grant program.
