On November 5, under the chairmanship of Alexander Kurkchi, head of the Sartana settlement military administration, the second meeting of the Barrier-Free Council was held online.
Ivan Olifirovsky, deputy head of the department and head of the urban planning department of the Donetsk Regional State Administration's urban planning and architecture department, joined the discussion.
The modern understanding of accessibility is much broader than just the technical accessibility of infrastructure. It is about dignity and equal opportunities, as well as creating a space where people feel valued regardless of their circumstances.
The agenda included the following issues:
approval of the Sartan settlement community's program for the implementation of the National Strategy for the Creation of a Barrier-Free Environment in Ukraine for the period up to 2030;
presentation of the "Ambassadors of Barrier-Free Access" project and the implementation of barrier-free access priorities in the community.
Let's create a barrier-free environment together!
