This was reported by Vadym Filashkin, Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration and Chief of the Regional Military Administration.
Among the 253 relocated citizens are 102 people with limited mobility.
“We evacuate people every day in close cooperation with the police, rescue services, local authorities, and more than 20 volunteer organizations.
With the assistance of the regional administrations of Kharkiv and Dnipro, transit hubs operate in these regions, where evacuees can receive one-time financial assistance, hot meals, as well as humanitarian, psychological, and medical support.
Specialized transport is used to evacuate people with limited mobility.
In particular, on October 15–16, 60 single persons with limited mobility were accommodated in geriatric institutions in the Vinnytsia and Zhytomyr regions.
Moreover, on September 17, the Cabinet of Ministers introduced two new services: nursing care for IDPs and shelter for displaced persons with limited mobility.
This will make it possible to accommodate a large number of single persons with limited mobility — first in medical institutions, and later in specialized facilities,” emphasized Vadym Filashkin.
