This was reported by Vadym Filashkin, Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration and Chief of the Regional Military Administration.
The Yakovliev family's foster family-type home is raising eight children. In 2024, they were forced to leave their native Avdiivka and moved to Kyiv Oblast. Due to the worsening security situation, the family evacuated once again — this time to the village of Ardanovo in the Kamianske hromada.
Here, the Yakovlievs were settled in one of the modular houses built under First Lady of Ukraine's "Childhood Address" project for large families with children. Nearby are a school, a kindergarten, and an outpatient clinic, and most importantly — the children are now far from the front line and daily danger.
The family is currently settling into their new home; the next step is enrolling the children in educational institutions.
My sincere gratitude goes to the Head of the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration, Myroslav Biletskyi, the Kamianske hromada, and all the specialists who accompanied the family during the evacuation and helped them settle in.
For our children today, the most important thing is to be safe. And I am grateful to Transcarpathia for welcoming them here as their own.
