Senior Seaman Andrii Petryk was killed on August 15, 2023, while performing a combat mission near the city of Krasnohorivka in Donetsk Oblast. The defender was forever 41 years old.
Andrii was born and lived in the city of Selydove. He studied at the Selydove Vocational School. In civilian life, he worked at the "Kotliarevska" mine of the "Selydivvuhillia" State Enterprise. In his free time, he loved fishing.
During the full-scale Russian invasion, he fought for his Homeland in the ranks of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the air assault company of the 35th Separate Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi.
"For me, he is the best husband, the best dad, my life. He is our Hero, whom we love deeply and will always remember," said Tetiana, the deceased's wife.
The marine was buried in his hometown.
Andrii is survived by his wife, children, and parents.
