In the event of an insured incident, the Pension Fund of Ukraine provides compensation for damage caused to an employee as a result of an occupational accident and/or an occupational disease, or, in the event of the employee’s death, to persons entitled to receive such compensation.
The Law of Ukraine dated September 23, 1999 No. 1105-XIV “On Compulsory State Social Insurance” provides for the following types of insurance payments to compensate for damage resulting from an occupational accident or an occupational disease:
🔹 temporary disability benefits;
🔸 lump-sum payment in case of permanent loss of professional working capacity;
🔹 monthly insurance payments;
🔸 payments in case of transfer to lighter, lower-paid work;
🔹 monthly payments to a child born with a disability as a result of an occupational injury or occupational disease of the mother during pregnancy;
🔸 insurance payments to incapacitated family members in the event of the victim’s death.
