On the occasion of the birthday of the distinguished Ukrainian scholar, philosopher, and cultural studies expert Dmytro Chyzhevsky, a warm and inspiring gathering took place, bringing students together to honor a man who knew how to bridge worlds—those of science, culture, thought, and the heart.
The event took place as part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities” and served as a joint event for students from Kostyantynivka Secondary School No. 16 (Grades 1–12) of the Kostyantynivka City Council in Donetsk Oblast and the D.I. Chyzhevsky Gymnasium of the Oleksandriya City Council in Kirovohrad Oblast.
As part of the project “Dmytro Chyzhevsky—A Traveler Between Worlds,” the children spoke movingly and profoundly about the scholar’s life journey, discovering his ideas and values for themselves and for others.
A virtual tour of the Dmytro Chyzhevsky House-Museum became a true journey through time, where everyone could feel the spirit of the era and touch the world of the great thinker. A special atmosphere was created by the presentation of the book “The Family of Maria and Ivan Chyzhevsky. Echoes of Life,” which filled the event with family warmth and quiet stories of remembrance.
The educational quiz “Discover Chyzhevsky” was lively and engaging, while the “gallery of meanings” became a space for reflection, genuine discoveries, and inner dialogue.
The event proved once again that true education flourishes where there is collaboration, the spoken word, and genuine interest. It is precisely such gatherings that shape a conscious generation capable of thinking, feeling, and building the future, grounded in deep cultural and spiritual values.
