Business Energy Resilience: How Sole Proprietors Can Get Support and Operate Without Interruptions

Published 08 April 2026 year, 11:27

In today’s reality, entrepreneurship is not only about growth but also about the ability to adapt to challenges. Power outages have become one of the key risk factors for small businesses, making energy resilience a top priority.

The “Energy Support for Sole Proprietors” program helps entrepreneurs maintain uninterrupted operations even in difficult conditions.

Pavlo’s story: how state support made a difference

Entrepreneur Pavlo Klimov started his business in 2021 in the city of Selydove. Due to the war, he had to pause operations and relocate to safer communities.

He managed to resume his activity thanks to a veteran grant. Pavlo launched a business focused on the sale and installation of metal-plastic windows, creating new jobs.

During further cooperation with employment service specialists, he learned about the energy support program and decided to apply. The funds he received were invested in fuel for a generator, allowing his business to continue operating during power outages.

“This is real support that helps you keep going. Now I’m confident I can work steadily. And the savings will be reinvested into developing my business,” the entrepreneur says.
