Summer is a time for relaxation, new discoveries, vivid experiences, and childhood dreams. But for summer vacation to be truly enjoyable, it’s important to keep safety in mind.
This important topic was the focus of an online meeting between students from Kostiantynivka Secondary School No. 13 (grades 1–3) and Oleksandriya Gymnasium No. 15, which took place on June 5 as part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities.”
In a warm and friendly atmosphere, the students discussed how to make summer vacation not only fun but also safe. The children reviewed safety rules for the road, near bodies of water, in public places, and at home, and discussed potential dangerous situations and ways to avoid them. Active communication allowed everyone to share their own knowledge and life experiences.
Special attention was paid to mine safety issues during the meeting. Today, this knowledge is extremely important for Ukrainian children, as it helps preserve what is most precious—life and health. Participants reviewed the rules for handling suspicious objects and were once again reminded of how important it is to be attentive and responsible.
Face-to-face interaction, interactive activities, and quizzes made the event not only informative but also engaging. The children eagerly answered questions, participated in discussions, supported one another, and demonstrated a high level of safety awareness.
Such meetings prove once again that the “Side by Side: United Communities” project is not only about cooperation between communities but also about creating a space for friendship, mutual understanding, and joint learning among children from different parts of Ukraine.
