The results of the final round of the 16th Taras Shevchenko International Language and Literature Competition for School and University Students have been announced. Representatives from the Donetsk region demonstrated a high level of preparation, winning a number of prizes.
First-degree diplomas were awarded to:
- Daniel Kapustin — a 5th-grade student at the Bakhmut School in the Soledar community (mentor: Iryna Prykhodina);
- Kseniia Nesterenko — a 5th-grade student at Dobropillia Educational Complex No. 4 (mentor: Olena Kukhar);
- Sofia Fomenkova — a 5th-grade student at Pokrovsk Lyceum No. 2 (mentor: Hanna Kazekina).
Second-degree diplomas were awarded to:
- Daria Krokhmal — 6th-grade student at the Ocheretinsky Educational Complex (mentor: Anna Annenkova);
- Yaroslav Borisov — 7th-grade student at Mirnograd School No. 5 (mentor: Svitlana Yaldysheva);
- Kristina Pankova — 9th-grade student at Velykonovosilkov School No. 2 (mentor: Olena Avilova).
The following students were awarded third-place diplomas:
- Pavlo Zinchenko — a 6th-grade student at Selidiv School No. 2 (mentor: Nataliia Kulyk);
- Yaroslav Lutsenko — 6th-grade student at Illinivka Base School (mentor: Viktoria Sharnilo);
- Yelyzaveta Malishevska — 7th-grade student at Avdiivka School No. 6 (mentor: Tetiana Hapchuk);
- Olesya Babaeva — 8th-grade student at Novogrodivka School No. 10 (mentor: Nadiya Khudyak);
- Milana Grigorieva — 8th-grade student at Druzhkivka Gymnasium No. 1 (mentor: Larisa Shevchenko);
- Maria Rudyk — 9th-grade student at Pokrovsk Lyceum No. 2 (mentor: Valentina Gontar);
- Ksenia Minaylo — 11th-grade student at Kramatorsk School No. 22 (mentor: Marina Gorbach).
The winners were prepared under remote learning conditions, which required significant effort from the participants and their teachers. The results of the competition confirm the high level of philological knowledge and creative abilities among the students of Donetsk Oblast.
