The Siverska community, together with its partners, held the “Nightingale Show” game

Published 28 October 2026 year, 15:23

As part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities,” an online game called “The Nightingale Show” was held to celebrate Ukrainian Literacy and Language Day. The event brought together representatives from the Siverska, Onokivska, and Olhopil communities.

Participants took part in three exciting rounds: “Picture,” “Collage,” and “Guess the Ukrainian Song.” They guessed Ukrainian words based on images, learned about forgotten and archaic words, recognized the melodies of folk and contemporary Ukrainian songs, and sang together.

The event was not only an opportunity to test their knowledge and quick thinking but also a chance to connect with their linguistic heritage, recall folk traditions, and feel the power of Ukrainian songs.

The “Nightingale Show” proved once again that the Ukrainian language is our history, culture, identity, and spiritual foundation. Despite the distances and the hardships of war, joint cultural events unite communities, strengthen bonds of friendship, and inspire us to preserve our native language.

Let’s preserve the Ukrainian language—let’s speak it, read it, sing it, and pass on its beauty to future generations! After all, as long as the Ukrainian language lives, Ukraine lives!
