The beauty of Ukrainians lies in our authenticity, diversity, culture, and unbreakable spirit. It is precisely this desire to showcase the beauty of Ukrainians in all its multifaceted glory that formed the basis for the open online contest “Beauty in Diversity,” held in honor of Beauty Day.
This contest was organized by the Youth Council of the Siverska Community as part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities.” The event provided an opportunity to bring together people from different corners of Ukraine, learn about their cultures and traditions, and see just how multifaceted and diverse Ukrainian beauty can be.
Residents of the Siverska community participated, as well as partner communities within the “Side by Side: United Communities” project—the Onokivska community in Zakarpattia Oblast and the Olhopilsk community in Vinnytsia Oblast. In addition, residents of the Myrne community in Donetsk Oblast submitted their photos as part of the open category of the contest.
On September 8, the winners were announced in the categories “Authentic Beauty” and “Modern Ukrainian Woman / Modern Ukrainian Man.” The winners were selected based on audience support and the evaluation of the contest entries.
We sincerely thank each and every one of you who took part in this contest—for your photos, your sincerity, your creativity, and your desire to share the beauty of your region. All participants received digital certificates of participation, and the winners received diplomas.
We may be separated by kilometers, but we are united by a common bond—our love for Ukraine, its people, culture, and traditions. This is precisely where our beauty lies—in the diversity that unites us!
