The Onokivska rural community held a solemn celebration of Community Day, which brought together partners, friends, and representatives of local self-government. The event was attended by the head of the Siverska city military administration, Oleksiy Vorobyov, together with representatives of the Siverska community's municipal institutions.
During the celebrations, Oleksiy Vorobyov thanked the Onokivska community for its comprehensive support of the Siverska community.
As part of their cooperation in the national project "Side by Side: United Communities," the Siverska and Onokivska communities jointly implemented 18 social and cultural events, which were attended by over 700 participants. Each initiative had its own special atmosphere and value, aimed at strengthening ties between eastern and western Ukraine.
Among these events was an online flash mob for Embroidery Day, during which children and adults from different regions demonstrated national traditions and cultural heritage. There were also literary marathons featuring the works of Lina Kostenko, Vasyl Symonenko, Taras Shevchenko, and Oksana Zabuzhko, uniting the voices of participants in a shared cultural space.
The events for children were particularly warm and emotional. A vacation at the Onokivska community school camp, excursions, walks, and new acquaintances gave the children a brief but much-needed respite from the realities of war. The trip of twelve children to the Slovak Republic was also an unforgettable experience, bringing new impressions, sincere emotions, and the joy of children's laughter.
Financial assistance was also an important manifestation of support—the Onokivska community provided the Siverska community with a subsidy of 1.8 million hryvnias. These funds became a significant resource for the outpost community.
Cooperation between communities proves once again that unity, mutual support, and humanity are the foundation of Ukraine's resilience.
