The forum, organized by the NGO “League of Social Workers of Ukraine” within the framework of the flagship partnership of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Ukraine and the European Union (EU) “EU4Recovery - Empowering Communities in Ukraine”, was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Social Policy, international organizations, public associations and social service providers from all over Ukraine.
The forum addressed the issues of providing social services to vulnerable populations and responding to military challenges, ensuring fair wages, social guarantees, professional support and protection of social workers/employees, and international cooperation in the provision of social services.
During the forum, the Druzhkivka City Territorial Community was recognized as a “Community of Heroic Service: Social Support in Times of Trouble.” Natalia Karachor, Director of the Territorial Center for Social Services of the Druzhkovka City Council, received the well-deserved award.
Following the forum, a resolution was adopted that contains a mechanism for improving the level of social services at both the state and community levels.
