In Poltava and Dnipro, the Center for IDP Support of Kramatorsk District MiRazom hosted activities aimed at expanding the understanding of accessibility, humanity and equal opportunities for all as part of the Barrier-Free Week. They became important steps towards building a society where everyone can feel confident, be heard and have freedom of action.

In Poltava, specialists of the Humanitarian Mission “Proliska” conducted a training “Barrier-Free is about each of us”, where participants learned about the basics of inclusiveness, accessibility principles and the specifics of creating an environment that is convenient for everyone. The event helped to deepen the understanding of the importance of mutual understanding, openness and humanity as the basis of a fair space. Such meetings not only generate new knowledge, but also promote a willingness to change for the common good.

In Dnipro, as part of the Active Parks location, a class “Yoga with Eyes Closed” was held, a practice that helped children develop trust in themselves and the world, learn to navigate in space without the usual landmarks, activating other channels of perception. This experience once again reminded us that barrier-free access is not only about physical access, but also about inner freedom, the ability to learn, feel, and develop on an equal footing.

Support for such initiatives is extremely important for the formation of an open society in which everyone, regardless of circumstances, has the right to a decent life, respect and participation in public life.
