As part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities,” the Staromlynivska rural community in Donetsk Oblast and the Sofiivska settlement community in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast signed a memorandum of cooperation in the form of a partnership.

The document was signed by Alona Levterova, head of the Staromlynivska rural military administration, and Petro Segediy, head of the Sofiivka settlement.

The memorandum provides for cooperation on issues of humanitarian support, social adaptation, and assistance to internally displaced persons, as well as the implementation of cultural, educational, civic, sports, and other initiatives that will promote community cohesion, resilience, and development.

For the Staromlynivska community, which continues to operate under constant challenges due to the war and the temporary occupation of its homeland, such cooperation is of particular importance. This is not merely about a signed document, but about a living connection between communities, support for people, the exchange of experiences, and shared responsibility for the future.

“It is important to us that the residents of the Staromlynivska community feel that even when they are far from home, they are not left to face their needs alone. Partnerships between communities are about trust, support, and collective strength. This is exactly how we are building our tomorrow today,” noted Alona Levterova.

Partner communities are helping each other survive today, and in the future, they will join forces to rebuild outpost communities. After all, every community has its own potential for development, and horizontal ties among Ukrainians strengthen the country from within.

There will be a tomorrow here—because we stand shoulder to shoulder today.
