On the eve of Ukraine's Statehood Day, the Donetsk Region cultural hub in the capital hosted an educational game program for children entitled "Along the Paths of Our Native Land" as part of the historical and cultural festival "Wild Field. The Road to Europe," which is being implemented with the support of the Donetsk Regional State Administration. The Department of Culture and Tourism of the Regional State Administration, the Donetsk Regional Educational and Methodological Center for Culture, and the Nikolskaya settlement territorial community of the Mariupol district joined in organizing this intellectual event.
Four children's teams from the Kostyantynivka, Nikolsk, Vugledar, Selidovo, Bakhmut, Kramatorsk, and Sartana territorial communities represented four periods of statehood formation in Donetsk Oblast: Scythian, princely, Cossack, and the revival of independence. The young local historians bravely competed for the title of the best team, answering tricky questions and solving difficult historical tasks, composing Scythian legends, and guessing Cossack fillwords. For their efforts and will to win, each participant received a diploma and a sweet gift. And also – a good mood and new knowledge about their native Donetsk region.
