The Avdiivka City Military Administration and the Stryi City Council have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation within the framework of the national project "Side by Side: United Communities." This document marks a new level of cooperation between the cities, which are united by a common desire to support people affected by the war and contribute to the recovery of the Avdiivka community.
The partnership provides for the expansion of humanitarian aid, the strengthening of social services, support for military families, and the creation of programs for veterans and internally displaced persons. An important part of the cooperation will be the exchange of management experience and best practices that will help communities respond more effectively to the challenges of wartime.
The memorandum was signed by the head of the Avdiivka City Council, Vitaliy Barabash, and the chairman of the Stryi City Council, Oleg Kanivets.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the needs of Avdiivka residents, mechanisms for attracting additional resources, support for educational and social institutions, as well as specific steps that communities can take together.
Vitaliy Barabash emphasized the importance of this cooperation: "Today, it is important for Avdiivka to have communities nearby that are ready to lend a helping hand in the most difficult moments. Stryi demonstrates not just partnership, but true brotherhood, which is felt in concrete actions."
The mayor of Stryi stressed that supporting the people of Avdiivka is a responsible and conscious mission for the community. The signing of the Memorandum lays the foundation for long-term cooperation: the formation of joint teams and the implementation of initiatives that will have a tangible social impact on the residents of Avdiivka.
