On June 19, the city of Kropyvnytskyi hosted a cultural and educational family event titled “Families of Donetsk Oblast: From Generation to Generation,” which brought together more than 200 parents and children.

The event featured themed areas representing displaced communities from the Donetsk region, which included presentation platforms, stress-relief zones, and various creative workshops.

In particular, specialists from the Donetsk Regional Center for Tourism and Local History for Schoolchildren conducted a hands-on workshop titled “Candle Symphony” for attendees, teaching them how to make candles from beeswax.

Overall, this format—which combined exhibition and interactive elements—served as an excellent platform for fostering communication and strengthening mutual support among displaced persons, education representatives, and community hubs.

Even while evacuated, communities from the Donetsk region preserve their identity, cultural heritage, and unity. Collaborative creativity restores a sense of security and psychological comfort and strongly binds different generations of Ukrainians together. Supporting internally displaced families today is an important investment in preserving our shared future, where everyone feels part of a great and united country.
