On June 28, 2025, it will be 29 years since the Constitution of Ukraine was adopted. This year, we will once again celebrate the national holiday in the conditions of armed aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
Despite the horrors of war, life in Donetsk region continues: children continue to receive education, residents of the region have access to medical and social services, and conditions are being created for the development of creative abilities, etc.
On the occasion of Constitution Day of Ukraine, the regional state administration has launched a regional campaign "The Constitution of Ukraine through the prism of war." The stories of the residents of Donetsk region once again prove that even in a state of war, the commitment to constitutional principles is important for the Ukrainian state – the affirmation of human rights and freedoms, compliance with universal and European values, which the Ukrainian people bravely defend in modern conditions, protecting freedom, territorial integrity, independence, and sovereignty of Ukraine.
Article 54. Citizens are guaranteed freedom of literary, artistic, scientific, and technical creativity, protection of intellectual property, their authors' rights, moral and material interests arising in connection with various types of intellectual activity.
Maxim Chernov is a 17-year-old student of Sloviansk Special School No. 23. His life path is not easy, but it is on this path that the boy has revealed his multifaceted talents – literary, musical, and athletic.
At the regional competition "I am the Future of Donetsk Region – 2024," Maxim became a true discovery: two works in different nominations and a special jury award – "Discovery of the Season." He received this award for his creative search and unwavering faith in the future. His essay "Dreamed Happiness: Before and After" is a deep reflection on war, loss, and the strength of spirit. In it, every word is like a note from the heart. Everything that was "before": school, family, guitar, first victories in sports. And everything that became "after": evacuation, alarms, foreign lands, but – boundless determination not to break.
Maxim is not just a writer. His songs touch the soul because they are written with pain and hope. He also represents Ukraine with dignity in sports arenas, particularly in swimming. He is a boy who not only dreams but also proves every day that dreams are actions backed by perseverance.
