Communities in Donetsk region live in a reality where every day is a challenge, and every step is a move toward recovery. Here, on frontline land where hope is both fragile and unbreakable, feeling support beside you is especially important. That is why the Restoration Army project has become not just a state initiative for the region — it has become a symbol of collective strength and humanity.
For more than three years, this program has given people who are temporarily unemployed the opportunity to participate in essential community work. In Donetsk region, more than 35,000 referrals have been issued, including nearly 10,000 this year alone. Behind every number are people who are not standing aside — they are changing the reality of their communities right now.
Participants of the project help where support is needed most: strengthening and arranging protective structures, unloading, packing, and distributing humanitarian aid, supporting people with disabilities, and carrying out dozens of tasks without which everyday life in a frontline region would simply be impossible.
This work is more than temporary employment. These are hands that keep communities standing during the most difficult moments. This is a contribution that helps preserve the resilience of frontline Donetsk region today.
Participants receive wages — up to 16,000 UAH per month — but the most valuable things are the experience, new skills, and the sense of being needed and belonging to something important.
The Restoration Army is about those who do not wait for better times — they bring those times closer with their own hands.
