At a time when Ukraine is fighting for its freedom every day, national resistance is becoming not only a matter for the Armed Forces, but also a shared responsibility of citizens. Therefore, building the home front is a strategic task that requires unity, knowledge, and active participation of society. It is with this goal in mind that the Platform “Center for Unity and National Resistance” of Donetsk Region has been actively working in recent months.
One of the key areas of its work is conducting training courses for the population. Thanks to the partnership with the Center for Training the Population for National Resistance of Dnipropetrovsk Region, residents of Donetsk Region have the opportunity to undergo basic training that covers the basics of national resistance, civil security, psychological resilience, and skills for action in combat and crisis situations.
Training courses are held regularly, and with each session the number of conscious citizens who are ready to act in conditions of threats increases. This is not just training, but the formation of a new culture of security, responsibility and solidarity. The platform is confidently turning into a center for uniting civil society around the idea of resistance.
At the same time, the Platform team is working to expand the geography of its activities. For example, a working meeting was recently held with the leadership of the Center for National Resistance of the Transcarpathian region. During the meeting, cooperation mechanisms were discussed, as well as the prospects for attracting infrastructure, educational and resource opportunities to conduct basic training for residents of the Donetsk region who live in the territory of the Transcarpathian region. After all, the internal displacement of thousands of citizens due to the war requires flexible solutions and adaptation of training formats in different regions of Ukraine.
The platform “Center for Unity and National Resistance” of the Donetsk region demonstrates an example of how interaction between regions and institutions strengthens our resilience. This is not only about preparing for possible threats, but also about creating a space of trust, mutual assistance and national cohesion. There are even more trainings, partnerships and projects ahead. And most importantly, even more people who are ready to defend their country not only on the front lines, but also in every city, village, and community.
