Recently, our fellow countrymen who are now in evacuation in Lviv region received a special gift: 17 IDPs from Donetsk region attended the 16+ youth performance at the Sheptytsky People's House free of charge.
This visit was made possible by the national initiative "Side by Side: United Communities".
The play, presented by the Lesya Ukrainka People's Drama Theater, is based on the novel by Maryna Smilyanets and is a story about teenagers and for teenagers. This is a sincere story about first feelings, friendship, typical misunderstandings and a difficult but important search for oneself.
We were especially proud to see our fellow countryman, who played one of the roles, Nikita Mironov, take part in the play. The guy is also an IDP from Donetsk region. He is fluent in Ukrainian and it was his first time on stage. This is an inspiring example of resilience and integration.
During the event, a charity collection was held: UAH 1184 was raised for the box for our defenders.
Organizational support for the event was traditionally provided by Dmytro Shynkar, head of the Ednannia Humanitarian Hub of the Pokrovska IBA in Sheptytskyi.
