As of the beginning of October, the situation in the United Energy System of Ukraine is under control. During the week, no stabilization outage schedules were applied in Donetsk Oblast.
Restoration works are underway at the power facilities damaged by shelling. All necessary measures are being taken to maintain the stable operation of the power system under constant threat.
The drop in air temperature increases electricity consumption and the overall load on the grid. In this regard, there may be a shortage in the power system. Therefore, we urge consumers to reduce their consumption. This can be done by following simple recommendations.
To reduce the load on the power system, you need to
- conserve electricity between 09:00 and 19:00
- not use powerful appliances during the most critical hours, i.e. from 17:00 to 19:00
- turn off lights in rooms when no one is there
- do not turn on many energy-consuming appliances at the same time. This will help transformers withstand a power surge and prevent localized accidents.
- Reduce the operating time of heaters and boilers, and do laundry at night if possible.
Conscious consumption will reduce the overall load on the power system and facilitate its balancing, as well as avoid the use of measures to limit electricity supply to consumers.
