Viktor Hrytsak, head of the Yednannia humanitarian hub in Pokrovsk, met and helped a resident of Pokrovsk who had been forced to leave her hometown to escape the horrors of war settle into her new home.
Thanks to the cooperation between the head of the hub and local authorities, it was possible to quickly find and organize comfortable accommodation for the woman in a compact settlement for internally displaced persons in the city of Khust.
The partnership between the Pokrovsk and Khust communities is a shining example of successful cooperation within the important social project "Side by Side: United Communities." The Khust community is a reliable support and hospitable partner that actively assists in the resettlement of displaced persons from Pokrovsk and other communities in Donetsk Oblast, where hostilities continue.
Through joint efforts and effective coordination between community leaders and hub teams, not only is the prompt settlement of people in safe conditions ensured, but also comprehensive support: from initial consultations and the provision of humanitarian aid to facilitating socialization and integration in a new place.
Thus, the Side by Side: United Communities project embodies true solidarity, allowing people who have lost their homes to find safety and care far from the front line.
