As part of the nationwide campaign "16 Days Against Violence," a lecture was held for high school students in the Mykolaiv community to raise awareness among teenagers about gender-based violence, personal boundaries, and consent.
Class teachers and educators from educational institutions in the Mykolaiv community also participated.
The speaker, Anna Gopsta, a legal advisor for the legal aid hotline "YurFem: Support," used practical case studies to familiarize attendees with the importance of recognizing different forms of violence, protection mechanisms, and opportunities for obtaining assistance.
During the event, high school students deepened their knowledge of violence and its manifestations, received practical recommendations, and learned about algorithms for action in case of danger. Participants in the event were once again convinced that the right to safety and respect is inalienable for everyone.
The event was organized by the Department of Education, Culture, Family, Youth, and Sports of the Mykolaiv City Council in cooperation with the Association of Women Lawyers of Ukraine "YurFem."
