One of the most important attributes of statehood and a guarantor of Ukraine's security and freedom is its Armed Forces. On December 6, Ukrainians celebrate one of their most important national holidays—Armed Forces Day. Every day, thousands of Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers defend the country on the front lines, guarding its borders on land, at sea, and in the air. On the occasion of the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, we will tell you about the branches of the Ukrainian army.
The Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are a rapidly developing multi-purpose branch of the military, thanks to which Ukraine confirms its status as a maritime power capable of defending its interests at sea, on land, and in the air.
The Navy consists of surface forces, naval aviation, coastal artillery, marine corps, as well as support and logistics units.
The Navy's fleet performs tasks of monitoring the surface situation and supporting the grain corridor, which is vital for Ukraine and the world. This ensures food supplies even during active combat operations.
Ukrainian marines are among the first to go into battle, stopping the enemy in the most difficult areas of the front. Their resilience and heroism confirm the slogan: "Always faithful!" Thousands of destroyed enemies are the best evidence of the struggle for Ukraine's freedom.
Naval aviators are true masters of precision work in the sky. They have hundreds of combat sorties under their belts, destroying enemy equipment and occupiers, which testifies to their professionalism and accuracy.
Today, the Ukrainian Navy continues to professionally carry out combat missions, defending the state both at sea and on land. Their operations have forced the enemy fleet to leave the coastal sea zone, abandoning artillery shelling of the coast. The Navy, in cooperation with other branches of the Armed Forces and the Defense Forces of Ukraine, has destroyed dozens of Russian ships and boats and enemy infrastructure.
