The students of the "Feel the Rhythm" club of the Donetsk Regional Palace of Children's and Youth Creativity - children displaced from Donetsk - met with wounded Ukrainian servicemen who are currently undergoing rehabilitation in Khmelnytskyi.
The program of the event included:
- Chess games and checkers between the children and the defenders
- A performance by a young pianist whose mother is currently serving at the front
- A dance number from the "Feel the Rhythm" club
- Joint painting of stones.
Some impressions from the participants of this meeting:
“An elderly man, resembling our father... He came sad, lacking the strength to play, because he had no contact with his son, who is at the 'zero line'. Suddenly - a call. The son is alive. Within 5 minutes, he was already sitting at the chessboard - and playing.”
“Another fighter, not the first time with our children, told a boy that tomorrow - back to the front line. They spent the entire event together. They played, painted stones, exchanged contacts. The friendship that was born in the silence of the museum will become support at the front.”
The event united those who defend the country from the Russian aggressor and those for whom this struggle continues. The strength of Ukrainians lies in mutual support and faith in Victory.
