Today, on Housing and Utilities Workers’ Day, we thank those who maintain the energy infrastructure of our cities. The 2025–2026 heating season was one of the most challenging for the Donetskteplokommunenergo Municipal Enterprise. In Kramatorsk, Sloviansk, and Druzhkivka, the warmth in homes was the result not just of technical work, but of the genuine self-sacrifice of thousands of specialists.
Despite shelling and power outages, DTCE workers pushed themselves to the limit. Boiler operators kept the boilers running on generators, power engineers repaired the grid amid the sounds of explosions, and drivers delivered fuel under drone attacks. Every repair of a heating pipeline in freezing water became a test of courage, where comfort for Ukrainian families was preserved at the cost of incredible effort.
These people are true heroes of the home front. They worked without sleep, reassuring their loved ones with a brief “everything is fine,” so that the company’s motto, “We bring warmth to every home,” remained a reality.
