On May 20, a meeting of the Committee on Small and Medium-Sized Businesses of the Donetsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry took place, during which participants discussed current support tools for entrepreneurs operating under wartime conditions.

Special attention was paid to the state support program for businesses affected by the war, “Point of Support.”

During the event, Oleh Klymovych, Head of the Employment Programs Implementation Department of the Donetsk Regional Employment Center, presented employers with the key opportunities offered by the new government program.

“Point of Support” provides compensation to employers for part of the labor costs incurred during employee downtime or suspension of employment contracts, as well as reimbursement of the unified social contribution accrued on the amount of such assistance.

The assistance is calculated as the difference between the employee’s average monthly salary for the six calendar months preceding the downtime and the legally established downtime payment, but not exceeding twice the minimum wage established by law on the day the decision to grant assistance is made. The support is provided for up to three calendar months, with the possibility of extension up to six months.

Participants were also informed about the eligibility criteria for the program, the list of required documents, and application deadlines.

During the discussion, business representatives actively asked questions about the practical implementation of the program and the specifics of confirming property damage. Participants noted the relevance of the program for enterprises in Donetsk region that continue operating despite the difficult challenges of wartime.
