As part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities,” an online bridge event titled “The Ukrainian Word: The Voice of Unity Among Three Communities” was held to mark Ukrainian Literacy and Language Day. The event brought together library professionals from the Toretsk, Ruzhyn, and Kaniv communities.

The meeting provided an excellent opportunity for professional networking, creative exchange, and strengthening partnerships. During the event, library professionals shared best practices for promoting the Ukrainian language and literature, exchanged experiences in organizing cultural and educational events, and discussed the role of libraries in preserving the national cultural heritage.

A particularly special and moving part of the online meeting was the presentation by Yana Kureyeva and Oksana Khimchenko, representatives of the Toretsk community, who recited their own poetry. Their poems were a heartfelt expression of love for Ukraine, their homeland, and the Ukrainian language.

The online bridge became a symbol of unity, mutual support, and friendly cooperation between communities. After all, the Ukrainian language has the power to bridge distances, unite hearts, preserve memories of home, and inspire a shared future.
