As part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities,” the Toretsk and Ruzhyn communities invite young people to participate in an online contest dedicated to Ukraine’s Independence Day.
Young people aged 14 to 35 from the Toretsk and Ruzhyn communities are eligible to participate in the contest.
To participate, you must:
- prepare a photo that reflects love for Ukraine, Ukrainian traditions, national symbols, or the unity of the Ukrainian people;
- write a short essay on the topic “What Does Ukraine’s Independence Mean to Me?”—up to 1 A4 page, Times New Roman font, 12 pt;
- submit your entry to the email address of the Department of Internal and Information Policy of the Toretsk City Military Administration at [email protected] by August 19, 2026. In the email, include the participant’s first and last name, the community they represent, and their phone number.
Contest Schedule
- Through August 19 – submission of contest entries.
- August 21–23 – online voting on the official Facebook page of the Toretsk City Military Administration.
- August 24, Ukraine’s Independence Day – announcement of the contest results.
Based on the results of the online vote, five winners will be selected from each community and announced on August 24 on the official information channels of the Toretsk City Military Administration.
Together, let’s show that Ukrainian youth are strong, creative, and united, and that the friendship between communities is a true example of side-by-side cooperation!
