The evacuation of single people with limited mobility who need care has been underway for more than three years.

The process of evacuating single people with limited mobility is being implemented through the cooperation of the Donetsk Regional State Administration with the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, the National Social Service of Ukraine, host regions, and civil society institutions, including the Charitable Foundation Vostok SOS, Proliska, Angels of Salvation, BAZA.UA, and Save the Children.

Social workers and outreach workers explain to the elderly and people with disabilities the possibilities of free evacuation, accommodation conditions, and the possibility of receiving a full range of social and medical services provided in safer regions of Ukraine.

In particular, since the beginning of the full-scale aggression against Ukraine, the staff of the Territorial Center for Social Services of Druzhkivka City Council has focused on evacuating single elderly people and people with disabilities.

The director of the territorial center, Natalia Karachor, established fruitful cooperation with representatives of the Charitable Foundation “Vostok SOS” and other volunteer organizations.

On May 20, thanks to the cooperation of the Territorial Center and the CO “CF Vostok SOS”, it was possible to evacuate an 89-year-old resident of Druzhkivka, Oleksandra Nikitichna, to the Dnipropetrovs'k region.

In total, since the beginning of 2025, 37 wards of the Territorial Center for Social Services of the Druzhkovka City Council have already been evacuated to safer regions of Ukraine and placed in geriatric institutions in the Dnipro region.
