Public Broadcasting has announced the start of the application period for the National Selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026. Applications can be submitted via the form on the website junior.eurovision.ua through July 8 of this year.
The final of this year’s international contest will take place on October 24 in Malta.
To participate in the 2026 National Selection, young performers must record two cover versions of popular songs and a personal video presentation. An additional original song may also be submitted for consideration.
Children aged 9 to 14 are eligible to participate in the National Selection. Both solo performers and groups with no more than 6 members are eligible to participate.

Based on the results of the nationwide preliminary selection, a longlist of up to 15 participants will be formed by July 29, 2026, who will take part in live auditions. Based on the results of the auditions, 10 participants will be selected to enter the Star School.
Based on the results of training at the “Star School” and consultations with experts, 6 finalists for the National Selection will be chosen, after which the participants will prepare the songs they will perform in the final.
The final of the National Selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026 will take place in September 2026.
