On July 15, the next stage of the important youth project "Donetsk Region in Your Hands" took place. This initiative, launched by the Youth Council under the Novohrodivka City Council in collaboration with the "Center for Unity and National Resistance" platform and the Department of Family, Youth, and Mass Events of National-Patriotic Education of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, with the support of UNICEF within the framework of the "DIY Community" mini-grant competition, continues to actively develop, engaging youth from various corners of Donetsk and emphasizing the significance of joint work in the direction of national-patriotic education.
The project, which has already successfully completed its first stage, is expanding its geography of participants. Today, youth from the city of Bakhmut joined the initiative, and the day before, there were participants from Pokrovsk, which indicates the growing interest and relevance of the project in the context of uniting the communities of Donetsk.
Representatives of the Department of Family, Youth, and Mass Events of National-Patriotic Education of the Donetsk Regional State Administration participated in the event, as well as representatives of local self-government, highlighting the high significance and inter-agency support of this initiative.
Deputy Mayor of Novohrodivka Olga Sidorova emphasized the importance of such events: "In times of challenges, when many of us have been forced to leave our homes, such initiatives gain special significance. This project is not just a game or a master class. It is our way of preserving and strengthening our local identity. It is about how we, despite all circumstances, stick together, share our unique cultural heritage, traditions, stories, and dreams. We show that Donetsk is not just a geographical name; it is a community of strong, talented, and caring people".
Karina Shevchenko, the chief specialist of the Department of Youth Policy and Mass Events of National-Patriotic Education of the Department of Family, Youth, and Mass Events of National-Patriotic Education of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, noted the leadership role of the Novohrodivka community: "The Novohrodivka community is currently at the forefront of national-patriotic education. At the regional level, they have already held several successful events, demonstrating a high level of organization and youth engagement. This is a vivid example and confirms the effectiveness of the chosen course."
The implementation of the project "Donetsk Region in Your Hands" is a vivid testimony to the unity, strength, and patriotism of the youth of Donetsk, who are actively involved in shaping the future of the region and all of Ukraine.
