On the eve of Ukraine’s Independence Day, the grand opening of a large-scale nationwide cultural and artistic project took place at the Central House of Artists of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. Among the exhibition’s participants was the renowned artist from Sloviansk, Serhii Smetankin, whose works were included in the main exhibition.
The event brought together artists, representatives of the cultural sector, government officials, patrons and art lovers from all corners of the country.
The project showcases a diverse array of works: paintings, prints, sculptures and contemporary art installations. In the works on display, Ukrainian artists offer a profound reflection on our nation’s recent history: the struggle for freedom and independence, the majestic image of Ukraine’s defenders, enduring spiritual values, the preservation of historical memory and the unbreakable bond between many generations.
The exhibition has become not only a cultural event but also a powerful manifesto of the indomitable Ukrainian spirit, viewed through the prism of the visual arts.
