Vasyl Korenchuk was born in the Khmelnytskyi region and moved to Mariupol in the 1970s. Here, he not only worked as a designer at Azovstal, but also developed his creative style. His landscapes and still lifes were recognized for their sincerity and love of nature, and his works were exhibited in museums in Mariupol, Berdiansk, and Donetsk.
This was reported by Mariupol - Tourist City.
In 2006, he became a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, and later received the A. I. Kuindzhi Memorial Medal.
The full-scale war destroyed a significant part of his work, but could not break the artist. On February 25, 2022, his solo exhibition was to take place in Mariupol at the Kuindzhi Art Museum, but the opening was canceled due to the invasion.
Today, Vasyl Mykhailovych lives and works in Lviv, and he has found the creative strength to start working again and create new paintings.
Soon, a personal art exhibition of Vasyl Korenchuk dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the artist "From the Azov to the Carpathians" will be presented in Lviv.
