In Donetsk Oblast, a meeting of the evacuation headquarters was held with the participation of the deputy heads of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, Igor Boiko and Oleksandr Shevchenko, during which issues of strengthening cooperation between services and organizations involved in the evacuation of the population were discussed. They also reported on the opening of a transit point in the city of Lozova.
Oleksandr Shevchenko noted that, in order to relieve the transit point in Pavlohrad, a similar point in Lozova is now ready for operation. The transit point in Lozova will provide the same services to evacuees as in Pavlohrad, namely the distribution of humanitarian and financial aid, consulting services, etc.
The deputy head of the region also added that humanitarian organizations are working almost around the clock, helping with evacuation and processing aid.
Since the start of the mandatory evacuation of children with their parents, guardians, or other legal representatives, as of August 19, 2025, a total of 16,390 children have been evacuated from settlements in the Donetsk region. Oleksandr Shevchenko expressed his gratitude to charitable organizations and communities in the region.
“You are all working together to save the lives of Donetsk residents, for the sake of our victory. Thank you,” he said.
Following the meeting, appropriate instructions were given to resolve problematic issues and strengthen cooperation between all parties involved in the evacuation process.
