Today, on May 21, 2025, a solemn flower-laying ceremony was held in honor of the fallen defenders of Ukraine at the Alley of Heroes of the Cherkasy settlement territorial community. The event brought together government officials, the public, and the families of the fallen heroes in common prayer, gratitude, and sorrow.
The event was attended by Artur Nyasibyan, Head of the Department for Veterans' Policy, Iryna Chernyakova, Acting Head of the Department for Veterans' Policy at Kramatorsk Regional State Administration, Roman Romaniuk, Acting Head of the Cherkasy Settlement Military Administration, representatives of Cherkasy Settlement Council structural units, representatives of the Employment Service, and family members of the fallen.
The ceremony was followed by a meeting with the families of the fallen soldiers, during which a number of topical issues related to support for such families were discussed, including
- the state of implementation of the veteran policy in the Cherkasy settlement territorial community;
- social guarantees provided at the state and regional levels;
- additional social guarantees at the expense of the local budget;
- existing programs of the State Employment Center for this category of persons.
The attendees had the opportunity to share their pain, needs and suggestions, receive comprehensive answers to their questions, and were given contacts for feedback to the Department of Veterans' Policy of the Donetsk Regional State Administration.
Such meetings not only show deep respect for the fallen, but also become an important platform for real changes in the lives of their loved ones. The memory of the Heroes is not just about words, but about daily efforts to support their families.
