On August 29, representatives of the Veterans Policy Department joined the ceremonial laying of flowers on the Alley of Glory on the occasion of the Day of Remembrance of the Defenders of Ukraine.
The attendees honored the memory of the Heroes with a minute of silence and laid flowers at the memorial signs, which have become a symbol of gratitude and sorrow for everyone who defended Ukraine from the enemy.
Today, when our country is fighting for its right to freedom, this day is a reminder of the high price of independence, a day of unity and deep gratitude to those who gave their lives so that we could live under a peaceful sky.
The Memorial Day unites all Ukrainians in a common experience of loss and gratitude to all the Defenders.
The memory of our Heroes will live in our hearts forever, and their feat will inspire us to new achievements for the sake of peace and prosperity of Ukraine.
