The “MiRazom” Support Center for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the Kramatorsk District, located in Dnipro, hosted an interesting and informative session titled “Travel Skills” as part of its “Educational Space” program.

This time, the session took place outdoors, where theory was immediately combined with practice.

The session was led by Oleksandr Mirnyi from the Druzhkivka community, who generously shared his knowledge, practical experience, and useful tips on navigating the terrain.

Participants learned:

  • how to use a compass correctly;
  • how to read a tourist map;
  • how to determine their location;
  • how to identify the points of the compass and determine the direction of travel;
  • how to plot a route using a map and compass.

These gatherings offer not only new knowledge but also active recreation, socializing, physical activity, and a positive mood. They help develop attentiveness, spatial thinking, independence, and self-confidence.

The “MiRazom” Support Center for IDPs from the Kramatorsk District in Dnipro has been operating since September 2022 with the support of the Kramatorsk District State Administration and the District Military Administration, in close cooperation with the military administrations of the district’s communities.

The Center’s team is joining forces to support everyone who has been forced to leave their homes and to create a space of care, strength, and mutual aid.
