On the Constitution Day of Ukraine, a solemn ceremony of awarding honorary prizes to the families of fallen defenders from the Toretsk community took place in Dnipro. The Order of the "Cross of the Hero," established by the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Daniel, is awarded as a symbol of honor, courage, and self-sacrifice. The design of the award is inspired by the traditions of the Ukrainian People's Republic and resonates with the order "Cross of Petliura."
The honor of presenting the awards was given to the head of the Department of Veteran Policy of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, Artur Nasibyan, and the deputy head of the Toretsk City Military Administration, Lyudmila Yeslyukova. Representatives of regional and local authorities also participated in the event.
The memory of the fallen Heroes was honored with a moment of silence. In his speech, Artur Nasibyan emphasized:
“The true value of the Constitution lies in its Defenders. We remember each one. And we will always remember.”
After the awards were presented, a meaningful conversation took place with the families of the fallen regarding social, legal, and everyday issues. In particular, access to medical and psychological services, housing provision, education for children, legal support, and the necessity of constant dialogue between the state and the families of the Heroes were discussed.
The event was yet another testament: the feat of our warriors is not forgotten, and caring for their families is a duty and a matter of honor.
