On July 10, 2025, an open meeting with veterans and family members of fallen (deceased) Defenders of Ukraine took place in the Druzhkivka city territorial community.

The head of the Department of Veteran Policy, Artur Nasibyan, joined the discussion. The acting head of the Kramatorsk District State Administration, the head of the district military administration, Victoria Nabokova, the deputy head of the Druzhkivka city military administration, Oleksandra Pakhomova, as well as representatives of the Pension Fund of Ukraine, social services, and the regional employment center also participated in the event.

During the meeting, the most pressing issues concerning the families of Defenders were discussed: access to social guarantees and benefits, support for children, opportunities for retraining and employment. Representatives of the authorities provided detailed explanations regarding state and local programs, as well as mechanisms for targeted assistance.

Special attention was given to the issue of rehabilitation for veterans and families of Defenders.
Those present were informed about sanatorium and resort facilities and provided with detailed explanations regarding the package of documents required to receive financial assistance for rehabilitation funded by the budget of the Druzhkivka city territorial community.

Such categories of individuals can receive vouchers:

  • family members of fallen (deceased) Defenders of Ukraine;
  • persons with disabilities due to war and their family members, including spouses and minor children;
  • the child of a fallen (deceased) Defender is rehabilitated together with their legal representative;
  • a person accompanying a person with a first-group war-related disability is provided with a voucher without treatment.

Such programs are an important step towards restoring strength and an opportunity for families to receive the necessary care and support in difficult times.
