At the initiative of the Donetsk Regional Library for Children, a webinar “Library Innovative Services in Times of War” was held to bring together specialists from libraries of the region's territorial communities.
The meeting discussed modern approaches to library services in the context of a full-scale war, as well as the importance of introducing innovations that help libraries remain centers of support, knowledge and culture even in the most difficult times.
Despite the challenges of today, libraries in Donetsk region continue to work and implement creative ideas, focusing on the needs of the community. Their activities are aimed at providing high-quality and relevant library services for different categories of users. This demonstrates not only professionalism but also resilience, faith in a better future, and a constant desire to move forward.
During the webinar, special attention was paid to the possibility of participation of the region's libraries in the XIII Interregional Fair of Library Innovations “Bibliocreative - 2025”, which will be held in late June in the format of an online conference. This event will be a great opportunity to present the best projects and innovative ideas at the interregional level, to announce the activities of libraries in Donetsk region, to share experiences, to be inspired by ourselves and to inspire colleagues from other regions.
The event proved that libraries in Donetsk region are not only about books, but also about invincibility, humanity, creativity, and readiness to meet the challenges of time with professional dignity. We hope that, despite all the difficulties, the region's libraries will adequately represent Donetsk Oblast at the interregional level.
