A heartwarming gathering took place in Khmelnytskyi between military personnel undergoing rehabilitation and students from the Donetsk Regional Palace of Children’s and Youth Creativity. The event was organized in collaboration with the NGO “IDPs of Ukraine” as part of the “Hand in Hand” children’s volunteer movement and the “Save the Lives of Heroes” campaign.
The day’s program was rich and meaningful. The day began on the water, where children and military personnel learned to use SUP boards together. This activity provided a space for support, positive emotions, and sincere communication.
After the active recreation, participants joined a workshop on sculpting with air-dry clay. The creative process helped them express their emotions, restore inner balance, and experience the joy of working together.
The day concluded with a friendly checkers and chess tournament. Excitement, a healthy spirit of competition, and mutual respect reigned at the game boards. The soldiers willingly shared their experience and strategies, while the children surprised everyone with their quick wits and unconventional thinking.
This day was special for both the children and the soldiers, bringing them together in a warm atmosphere of support, mutual understanding, and sincerity.
