A cultural and educational event entitled “My Childhood — in the Colors of Ukraine” was held in Khmelnytskyi. It was organized by the Donetsk Regional Museum of Local History with the support of the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Donetsk Regional State Administration for children who were forced to leave their homes due to the war.
The main goal of the event was to support the emotional state of children using museum therapy tools. The atmosphere of trust and creativity helped participants feel safe, express themselves, and find comfort in communication.
Of particular interest was an interactive quiz, during which children determined which rights had been violated in well-known fairy tale characters. This approach made the topic of children's rights understandable, relatable, and interesting.
The young participants were most enthusiastic about the master class using 3D pens, where children embodied their dreams and memories of their native Donetsk region in bright creative works. Art became a tool for healing, a way to express emotions and maintain a connection with home.
The event combined innovative technologies, creativity, and museum practices to reflect unity, hope, and children's dreams of a peaceful future for Ukraine.
The organizers sincerely thank the YaMariupol Support Center for Displaced Persons, TATO Hub, and the Social and Psychological Hub of the Toretsk Community in Khmelnytskyi for their help in implementing this important initiative.
