Starting school is an important milestone for the whole family. In the midst of war, when this journey must begin far from one’s hometown, the usual preparations leading up to September 1 take on special significance.
As part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities,” young residents of Bakhmut who will be entering first grade this year received certificates worth 1,000 hryvnias from the Kropyvnytskyi partner community to purchase school supplies. Thanks to this, getting ready for school will be more enjoyable: future first-graders will be able to choose art supplies and subject-specific workbooks.
For families in Bakhmut, this assistance is meaningful and timely. It has become yet another tangible result of the partnership between the communities of Bakhmut and Kropyvnytskyi.
