On May 14, 2026, a training session on mental health support for young people and residents of the Donetsk region was held in Kryvyi Rih. The event was organized by the Department of Family, Youth, and Public Events for National-Patriotic Education of the Regional State Administration, in collaboration with the Staromlynivska Community and the “Caritas Kryvyi Rih UGCC” Charitable Foundation.
The main focus was on the practical aspects of psychological self-help. Foundation specialists and psychologists introduced attendees to effective self-regulation techniques that help cope with sudden anxiety attacks and stressful situations. Participants learned to recognize the symptoms of emotional burnout and mastered methods for restoring inner resources, which is critically important for successful adaptation in a new place.
In addition to the theoretical component, a significant portion of the training took place in the form of live discussions and interactive exercises. The young people participated in group discussions where everyone had the opportunity to speak and be heard. This helped create an atmosphere of trust and unity, reminding participants that they are not alone in their experiences.
The event in Kryvyi Rih reaffirmed once again: we are stronger when we share our pain and seek the path to healing together. The knowledge and self-help skills gained will serve as inner pillars for the residents of Donetsk Oblast, helping them endure the darkest times.
