On June 16, an event titled “By Your Side: Rights, Support, Opportunities” was held for war veterans, their family members, and the families of fallen (deceased) Defenders of Ukraine. The event was organized by the Mykolaivka Settlement Military Administration.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Regional State Administration’s Department of Veterans’ Policy, the Commissioner for Persons Missing Under Special Circumstances, the Regional Employment Center, the Main Directorate of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in Donetsk Oblast, and the public organization “My Circle.”
During the meeting, the following topics were discussed:
- the provision of state and additional social guarantees funded by the state and regional budgets;
- the legal status of persons missing under special circumstances during military service,families and family members of fallen (deceased) Defenders of Ukraine, as well as persons released from captivity.
- presentation on the local Targeted Program for Supporting Veterans;
- opportunities offered by the employment service for job search and professional development;
- the provision of services regarding pensions, benefits, and other payments to veterans and their family members.
Artur Nasibyan, Head of the Department of Veterans’ Policy, spoke about the social benefits provided at the national and regional levels and explained that certain categories of war veterans are eligible for reimbursement for sanatorium and resort treatment funded by the regional budget.
