Activities continue in Sheptytskyi as part of the national project "Side by Side: United Communities," aimed at supporting displaced persons and strengthening social unity. The "Yednannya" humanitarian hub of the Pokrovsk Military-Civilian Administration has organized several events in recent days for families from Donetsk Oblast who are temporarily residing in the community.
Theater performance for adult IDPs
A group of 16 displaced persons attended a performance by the Lesya Ukrainka National Music and Drama Theater at the People's House in Sheptytsky. The production Angels, based on Anna Bagriana's play Angels Have Something from the Evil One, tells the story of the difficult lives of Ukrainian women who have endured repression and loss but retained their dignity and love for their country.
Such events are important for people who have been forced to leave their homes. They allow them to relax emotionally and feel the support and unity of the community.
Active recreation in the pool for children from Donetsk region
Another event took place thanks to a partnership with a hotel and restaurant complex, which provided free access to its swimming pool for displaced children. The children had a fun and active time under the supervision of Dmytro Shynkar, getting some exercise and positive emotions.
Circus show "Mavka – Magic of the Forest" for 20 children from Donetsk region
The third event was a visit to the circus show "Mavka – Magic of the Forest" by the "Vogni Kyiv" circus, which took place at the People's House in Sheptytsky. Twenty children from Donetsk region had the opportunity to see acrobatic performances, jugglers, and clowns and immerse themselves in a world of laughter and magic for an hour.
All these events were made possible thanks to the cooperation of the community, local partners, and the national project "Side by Side: United Communities," which continues to bring people together and help Ukrainian families get through difficult times together.
